History

Wendell and Jimmy Roberson, which is Jamie's father, created Roberson's Brothers Farms in the late 1950's. The two brothers grew and transported beans, eggplants, bell peppers, and other produce items. In the late 70's, the brothers split with Jimmy primarily taking over the trucking side of the farm. His son, Jamie Roberson, began working under his dad at the age of 18 in 1983. The official name of the company was incorporated that same year. Jimmy Roberson Produce Company started by hauling produce out of Tifton, Georgia to Cincinnati, Ohio and other northern states. However, the company grew into hauling auto parts, pharmaceuticals, paper products, turf grass and fertilizer in the 2000's. Jimmy Roberson Produce Company has always been a family-oriented service. After Jimmy Roberson passed away, Jamie Roberson followed in his father's footsteps by taking over his company. Jimmy Roberson Produce Company currently transports produce and pharmaceuticals throughout Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina. The company is operating road tractors, dry vans and refrigerated trailers presently. Jamie Roberson has served as president of Jimmy Roberson Produce Company since 1996.
